Telecom Fiji Limited proudly demonstrated its commitment to the community by contributing $15,000 to the Fiji Cancer Society (FCS) during a heartwarming Pinktober morning tea event held today at the Telecom Lautoka Exchange and Headquarters in Suva.
We were privileged to have two cancer survivors speak to our staff at these events: Vikiwini Tora in Lautoka and Farnia Simion from Rabi Island in Suva. Their powerful stories and resilience deeply inspired our staff, underscoring the strength of community support and the essential role the Fiji Cancer Society plays in early detection, proper care, and ongoing support for cancer patients. Representatives from FCS were also present to share insights into the Society’s impactful work.
Telecom’s General Manager for Corporate Services and Human Resources, Samuela Vadei, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Fiji Cancer Society for its tireless efforts in spreading cancer awareness in workplaces and encouraging staff to share this knowledge with their families and communities. Mr. Vadei emphasized Telecom Fiji’s pride in participating in Pinktober donations each year, noting that, through these contributions, the company aims to support awareness-raising, wellness promotion, and essential assistance to those affected by cancer, ensuring no one faces the battle alone.
